Reading Response Blog 3:
1.) Something that EBAY uses to automatically bid for you when you are outbid in a auction.
2.)To search for misspelled words like snoy instead of sony, its a bargain because it doesnt show up when people are searching for "sony." Site was under constuction.
3.)The seller uses a stolen credit card number to order the camera from amazon.com. Author reccomends that you dont make payments using wire transfers.
4.)A form of a credit card that can only be used online and doesnt involve you giving your real credit card number out over the internet. Citi, Bank of America, and Discover are the three companies that the book lists as examples. I have never used a virtual credit card number.

Comic Book Concept
For my setting I think I will use either the bars in Indiana or the southside in Pittsburgh. The concept will have something to do with my character as a superhero of some kind. He will travel to as many different bars as he can, doing a shot in each. The "villian" will be the barteder trying to cut the hero off at the end of the night. The main characters will be me (hero) my friends as my sidekicks, the bouncers and bartenders as the "villians". My heros "superpower" will be that he always stays at the bar untill last call , and his only weakness is when he leaves with a girl before the bar closes. I have a coulple of different ideas for my exact plot but i want to see what kind of pictures i can gather to make make the ideas work.

Reading Response Blog 2
1.)The civil war in Liberia lasted from 1988 to 2003. The conflict was primarily over the diamond trade, which is one of Liberia's main exports. In the year 2000, the UN accused Liberian president Charles G Taylor of supporting the RUF. In 2003, Taylor stepped down and was exiled to Nigeria. In 2006 Taylor plead not guilty to crimes against humanity and war crimes. Today, like much of Africa, Liberia is at peace and attempting to make the diamond trade more legitamit.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Diamonds#Liberia
2.)
Maja Einstein is the younger sister of great scientist Albert Einstein. Maja was the only friend of Albert during his childhood. When little Albert saw his sister for the first time he thought she was a kind of toy and asked: “Yes, but where does it have its small wheels?”This article is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. It uses material from the Wikipedia article "Maja Einstein". This entry is a fragment of a larger work. Link may die if entry is finally removed or merged.
I think it is being removed because some of the info like how Maja was Einsteins only friend is hypothetical and not factual.
3.)
Web 2.0 - Websites and technologies that combine user created content, social networking, and new publishing technologies such as blogging, podcasting, and wikis (Frauenfelder 59).
4.)
College Humor.com
Right away you can tell that the website has came a long way. In the original, there is no links or sponsors and in the current site there is tons of both. The current site has way more activities and events that are posted. The old version has next to nothing as far as entertainment goes, at least in comparison to the current version. The site kept its idea of what it is trying to do, which is entertain college age kids.

Reading Response Blog 1
One thing that I learned from the chapter is just how popular blogs are. Frauenfelder mentions that the webisite Technorati.com tracks over 57 million blogs and adds over 100,000 new blogs a day, which turn into over 1.3 million new entries every day. I also didnt know that blogging has been around for as long as it has, in the book it says that blogging originated back in 1996 with Xanga.com. Something else I learned is that you can actually speed up the playback of podacasts by using quicktime. The other thing that I didnt know before reading this chapter is that Wikipedia gets sort of a reputation of not always provinding completely accurate information. Frauenfelder says that you should always find a second source to confirm what Wikipedia says.
